The Department of Real Arts Certification (DRAC) exists to promote clarity, stability, and administrative order within the evolving landscape of contemporary art. Through the Official Certified Real Art™ (OCRA) initiative, DRAC provides a standardized process for artists to formally recognize their creative works. By encouraging individuals to create, certify, archive, and share their artistic output, DRAC supports a cultural environment in which creativity is both accessible and responsibly documented for future generations.
Official Certified Real Art™ (OCRA) is the certification system developed by the Department of Real Arts Certification to formally acknowledge completed works of art. Through a simple five-step process—Idea, Create, Certify, Archive, and Enjoy—artists may designate their work as Official Certified Real Art™. OCRA does not determine whether art is good, bad, profound, or confusing; it merely confirms that the administrative process of Real Art certification has been properly completed.
The Department of Real Arts Certification traces its origins to the early twentieth century, when increasing artistic experimentation began to challenge traditional definitions of art. While the department’s founding charter was established in 1916, its operations were formally reactivated in 2026 in response to renewed public confusion regarding the classification of Real Art. Today, DRAC continues its mission of providing structured administrative guidance in a cultural landscape that remains delightfully unpredictable.
The Department of Real Arts Certification encourages participation from artists, creators, and curious citizens worldwide. Any individual who experiences the urge to create may submit their work for Official Certified Real Art™ recognition by applying the appropriate certification label and documenting the work through Form 1616 archival procedures. Participation in OCRA is voluntary but highly encouraged, as responsible artistic documentation contributes to the ongoing stability of global cultural infrastructure.
